Two people were killed on Sunday morning following a multi-vehicle car crash in Mauldin, Greenville County, South Carolina.
George Miller, the interim chief of police for the Mauldin Police Department, said there were also gunshots reported when they got a call right before 3 a.m.
“We got a crime scene,” Miller said. “It’s about three-quarters of a mile long, and we’re still piecing everything together but yes there were gunshots.”
Officials confirmed that weapons were found at the scene.
Evans said he believes there were three vehicles involved in the vehicle crash that took place on I-385 near Old State Road. Both of the people were pronounced dead at the scene.
