The german Automaker Volkswagen has announced that they are reintroducing the second generation Volkswagen Tiguan- R line Trim to its range. This model is apparently Volkswagen’s fourth best selling vehicle after the Polo, Golf and Passat model, which nearly accounted the company’s 20% sales last year time.
The Volkswagen Tiguan, R-Line is based on the SE trim Level, which adds to the list, bi-xenon headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, wheelarches painted in silver to contrast with black colour, and a sportier front and rear bumper.
Inside the car are two-tone front sports seats,a leather-trimmed steering wheel and stainless steel pedals, and ‘R-Line’ logos on the headrests.
The R-Line features Tiguan’s Three most powerful Engines, which consist of :
1. A 207bhp 2.0-litre TSI petrol
2. A 2.0-litre TDI engine with 140Hp
3. The 2.0-litre TDI engine delivering 170Hp.
All the models gets the company’s 4MOTION four-wheel-drive system and comes standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, and with carbon dioxide emissions rated at 199g per kilometer for the petrol model and 150g/km and 158g/km for the two diesels respectively.
The price of the R-Line models starts at £28,020 on the road for the 2.0-litre TDI 140PS model, which rises to £28,435 for the 2.0-litre TSI 210PS model, and hits at £28,700 for the 2.0-litre TDI 170PS version.
The Tiguan R-Line can now be ordered and the first round of arrival is expected to be coming in January 2013.
