14-year-old killed after 15-year-old hits tree

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department states a 14-year-old young boy died after a car driven by his 15-year-old buddy struck a tree.

Investigators stated the young boys were driving house at about 3:40 a.m. Wednesday after visiting a friend at a drive-thru restaurant when the vehicle crossed the center median and struck a tree on the other side of the road.

The driver was taken to a health center, however the brunt of the crash was on the guest side.

The automobile comes from a relative of the chauffeur. Investigators are investigating how the young boys acquired it.
