1999 Ferrari 360 Modena now with Linfenfelter Performance

by Alex

One of the best photographers in the automotive world is Jason Thorgalsen. At a recent visit to a garage in California he came upon a range of high end sports cars with performance as the most important factor in their designs.

The owner of the garage whose identity could not be confirmed has two 1999 Ferrari 360 Modenas in the garage, ostensibly one for his own self and other for his wife. The original engine fit of this sports car – a V8 had blown out while the owner had been racing it out at some local track. Instead of going for the same engine from Ferrari the owner decided for a Lingenfelter sourced 427-ci which they use on their Chevy model of car. This performance extensive powerplant can develop 1,000 hp compared to the 400 bhp at 8500 rpm and 275 lb-ft at 4750 rpm found in the standard engine.

The other items of interest that this garage houses are two Ferrari 360 GT, a Ferrari F430 spider as well a 360 Challenge Stradale. There is also a Lotus Exige, a Pagani Zonda and a Pagani Zonda Monza that one gets to see. Amongst the Porsche makes there is the GT3 and GT3 RS as well the Porsche GT3 RS Mk2 and two Porsche Carrera GTs models. To wind up the list there is also a Ruf R Turbo widebody in the garage.
