2 killed, 2 injured after rollover car crash on I-290

Two people were killed and the other two were injured after a single-vehicle rollover crash on I-290 in Illinois on Sunday morning.

Police said officers responded to the crash just before 3:30 a.m. on I-290 westbound close to Oakley Boulevard.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two others were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

All lanes of westbound I-290 at Oakley Boulevard were shut.

They were resumed just before 9:50 a.m.

Illinois State Police is investigating the crash.
