Famed tuning firm ONYX have lend their magic on the latest version of 2010 Range Rover to give rise to what has been termed as the Vogue and Sport packages based on the luxury SUV. On offer are the Platinum V and S packages that stands out for its exemplary style, a dose of performance enhancement along with craftsmanship of the highest order.
The areas where the Range Rover has been worked upon include front and rear bumpers arches along with a new spoiler that have been made from best grade FRP. Then there are new side vents, front grills and rear difussers that have been manufactured from prepregnated carbonfiber employing the same techniques that goes into the making of components used in high tech industries like formula 1 or aerospace engineering.
Moving over to the interior, ONYX has done a truly remarkable job. There has been extensive use of perforated leather made from buffalo hide in a variety of shades and designs.
The engine too has been given a thorough once over so that there is an enhancement of power output from the diesel mills by about 30 percent. Its petrol counterparts too has been subjected to the ONYX treatment so the there is now a ONYX exclusive 5.0 liter petrol engine that generates a peak power output of 635 hp. The increase in power can be attributed to an ONYX remap along with an ONYX replacement supercharger pulley. There are reports of other tuning jobs on the engine, which however have been kept under wraps.
