2011 IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge: The Winner Is a 15-year-old Driver in Porsche 911 GT3 Cup

by Andrew Randall

Seems that the racing will have a nice future taking into account the fact that professional racing drivers keep getting younger and younger. Try to remember what you were doing when you were 15 years or what your kid is doing at this age. He goes to school, play video games and maybe he play sports.

Well, Madison Snow, you see, is only 15 years old, and he do all this, as a normal child, but he was able to achieve at this age some goals that others haven’t managed to achieve in a lifetime. Despite the fact that is too young to get a driver’s license he just clinched the Gold Cup in the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, which is no easy car to control.

In fact, considering that Sunday Snow drove his car over the finish line with a full 47-point lead over the series’ second place driver, we can say that he dominated it.

Of course, the series isn’t even over yet and he’s even got one more race at Road Atlanta, one that he says he’ll be able to “just have fun out there” and that’s normal because he’s so far in the lead that he’s already got the championship in the bag.
