The Japanese car maker Honda has announced the updates to the Accord Crosstour, which for 2012 drops the Accord part of its name and is now strictly referred to as the Honda Crosstour.
The company announced that the engine range remains unchanged even some rumors claimed that a new four-cylinder unit will be available too for the 2012 model year Crosstour. Therefore, you can opt only for the 3.5-liter iVTEC unit able to produce 271 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 345 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The front-wheel-drive Crosstour gets 18 mpg city and 27 mpg on the highway, while the AWD version gets 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.
Honda also plans to keep the already existent trim levels, the EX and EX-L packages to be more precise.
The new 2012 model will get two new exterior colors, the Twilight Blue Metallic and Basque Red Pearl and some additional equipment, which includes Bluetooth and USB connectivity, auto on/off headlights but also a rearview camera.
The EX-L will also benefits from a four-wheel drive version, a variant which will use the Honda Real Time 4WD system.
