2013 Audi S7 Caught Without Camouflage: Spy Shots

by Ionut Dragomir

The new premium sedan from Audi, the S7 model, was caught cruising the streets without any camouflage on it. The prototype was caught in Europe and it gives us a pretty good glimpse at car’s aggressive front fascia, aerodynamic side skirts and modified rear bumper.

The prototype has split-five-spoke alloy wheels, ditching the previous incognito black. The latest shots show the vehicle completely denuded, so there’s little doubt left about what the production S7 will look like.

This vehicle has dual round exhaust pipes under the bumper instead of the integrated trapezoidal units on the concept. Also the latest spy shots show the car with an integrated automatic hatch spoiler instead of the medium-sized standalone wing on the earlier prototype.

The new model it expected to get its power from a 4.0-liter V8 engine with approximately 440 PS (324 kW / 434 hp).  This isn’t a huge increase compared to the 5.2 FSI V10, but engineers were focused on improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions.

According to Audi’s statement at the 2011 New York Auto Show, the S7 will be coming to the U.S., though we can expect to wait 6 to 12 months after its European debut–likely meaning something in early or mid-2012, probably as a 2013 model.
