The Concept GranCoupe was presented at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show and it was a preview for The 2013 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe. This new car is destined to go on sale in the second half of next year. About two weeks ago we’ve shown you some spy shots of the same car fitted with its optional M Sports Package. Now, Autoevolution’s spy photographers have caught the luxury coupé testing at the Nordschleife over the past few weeks and we thought we’d share with you, a few of those photos. In addition, now we can see it in black!
The latest M Sport kit for the new 6-Series Gran Coupe looks almost identical to the M Sports Package being readied for the standard 6-Series Coupe and Convertible.
Despite the fact that there’s a minimal amount of camouflage, we can clearly see the elongated 6-Series shape, the handsome lines running the full length of the side, a distinct bumper design with larger intakes and new LED detailing.
Beside this, we can also see a unique five spoke alloy wheels and what appears to be a subtle integrated rear diffuser, but it’s still unclear. Probably there will also be an adaptive M Suspension option, allowing the ride-height to be reduced, along with electronically controlled shock absorbers (Dynamic Damping Control) to improve handling.
At the interior should be a BMW M shifter, M steering wheel and M footrest alosng with a carbon fiber trim, which is also likely to be available.
No official details were revealed, but the new M Sports Package for the 2013 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe should be available shortly after the latest four-door coupe goes on sale towards the end of 2012.
Considering that starting price for the 2012 BMW 6 Series is $83,875, the 2013 model with M Sports Package may exceed the $95,000 limit.
