2013 Renault Megane Caught Almost Undisguised, Revealing New Details [New Spy Shots]

by Ionut Dragomir

Yesterday we’ve shown some spy shots with the 2013 Renault Megane and Megane Grandtour II Facelift during hot weather testing. Unfortunately, those photos were quite useless because the cars were wrapped in thick camouflage which hid many important details. Today we can present you a new set of photos revealing the upcoming model almost undisguised.

As you can see in the photo gallery below, the front will get a bigger lift to incorperate the new Renault family look while the rear lights will get new graphics. Bumpers will also change slightly. In addition to that the new model will showcase a fresh design inside and out, with LED daytime running lights and a new rear end, while at the back it will feature a more rounded shape incorporating a new rear bumper bar design, new taillights, and a new hatch door.

As a reminder, the 2011 Renault Megane 5-door hatchback is powered by a choice of three engines and three transmissions. There is a choice of a 110 hp 1.6-litre with a 5-speed manual gearbox, a 105 hp 1.5-litre with a 4-speed automatic gearbox, and a 143 hp 2.0-litre with a Nissan-sourced CVT automatic.

The Renault Megane (Phase II) facelift for the 5-door hatch and Grandtour wagon is expected to debut at the end of 2012 or early 2013.
