The 2014 BMW 2-Series Coupe has been spied recently while it was undergoing testing on the tracks of Nürburgring.
The 2014 BMW 2-Series Coupe looks larger and sportier than its predecessor and also has an evolutionary design which seems to have borrowed cues from the 1-Series hatchback. Despite the similarities in styling, the 2-Series coupe will be distinguished by new headlights and taillights as well as a unique front fascia with larger air intakes.
In terms of power options, the coupe will carry over the engine from the 1-Series and so we can expect a variety of four-cylinder units to be a part of this coupe. There could also be chances that there may be an M235i with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that would be able to develop 320 HP (235 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission gearbox. All the coupes will come with rear-wheel drive as standard feature, but all-wheel drive should be an optional feature.
The BMW 2-Series Coupe is expected to be unveiled later this year, and so we can look for a possible debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
