Chevrolet has revealed the diesel version of the Chevrolet Cruze in Chicago this week.
As per the statement made earlier, the Chevrolet is introducing the 2014 Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel at the Chicago Auto Show. At the center of it is the “cleanest car diesel engine ever produced” and it is the 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 148 hp (110 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque.
The sedan will be able to cover the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 8.6 seconds and can return an estimated 42 mpg US (50.4 mpg UK or 5.6 liters / 100 km) on the highway. Chevrolet opines that clean diesel engines generate at least 90 percent less nitrogen oxide and particulate emissions in comparison to older diesel engines.
The 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel includes a price tag of 25,695 USD including destination and two-year maintenance plan.
The sedan is bespoke one and is dynamic in its looks and appearance. It is suitable for city drivers and is one notch higher compared to its counterparts. It has the oomph factor to get a fair amount of attraction and would be better than its diesel rivals.’
