Mercedes has recently unveiled the 2014 Sprinter. Featuring a striking appearance, the updated model comes with modifications such as modified bumpers and a prominent wedge-shaped grille. There’s also a revised hood, new headlights and a reduced ride height.

In terms of interiors, the changes are limited and consist of new upholstery, thicker steering wheel a new gearshift lever, an upgraded audio system and a Becker MAP PILOT navigation system.

The van can be fitted with a variety of four and six-cylinder diesel engines that have the capacity to generate output between 95 HP (70 kW) to 190 HP (140 kW). The customers also have an option to order a supercharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder petrol or natural gas engine that is capable of generating 156 HP (115 kW).

Talking about safety features, the van comes with five new systems including Crosswind Assist, Collision Prevention Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Highbeam Assist and Lane Keeping Assist. Of the above, Crosswind Assist is a standard feature, while the other systems are optional.

The company will begin accepting pre-orders in June this year and the first deliveries of the vans are scheduled for this September.
