The media from UK has managed to obtain details of the next-gen Nissan Qashqai’s engine lineup.

The Japanese crossover will come equipped with a newly developed 1.2-liter turbocharged engine which at first will represent the only gasoline version. This 4-cylinder, DiG-T motor will generate an output of 113 hp (84 kW) sent as standard to the front wheels. Talking about the diesel version, the second-gen Qashqai will be available with a 1.5 dCi with output of 108 hp (80 kW) and a 1.6 dCi rates at 128 hp (95 kW).

It will also utilize the Common Module Family platform co-developed with Renault and should also come with a hybrid variant sometime in the year 2015. There are reports that state that Nissan doesn’t plan on selling the car in a “+2” seven-seat version since they already have the 2014 X-Trail for this job.

The second generation of the Nissan Qashqai will be supposedly unveiled in November this year ahead of its early market release next year 2014. Trim levels will include the familiar Visia, Visia + Safety Pack, Acenta, Acenta Premium and Tekna, and the four-wheel drive function will be an optional feature on select versions.
