2015 BMW M4 Convertible gets a chilly reception as it eschews Detroit for Scandinavia

BMW had recently unveiled the M3 and M4 Coupe at the ongoing North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, but some of the spy photographers have managed to capture new photos of the M4 Convertible.

Caught while undergoing cold weather testing, the drop top will follow in the footsteps of the M4 Coupe and will adopt an aggressive body kit with modified bumpers, revised side skirts and ventilated front fenders. We can also see that the model will have a bulging hood, a four tailpipe exhaust system and a retractable hardtop.

Under the hood, power will be provided by a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine that would be able to generate an output of 431 HP (317 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. This enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) in just 4.1 seconds and so we can expect the convertible to be a few ticks slower.
