The Japanese automaker, Toyota, has now officially taken the wraps off a new facelifted variant of its Camry model, the Toyota Camry Extremo. The vehicle has been unveiled at the Bangkok Motor Show that is taking place this year.
At the stage of the 2015 Bangkok Motor Show, the car is taking the spotlight together with the Toyota Corolla ESport Nurburgring Edition, which is a limited production model. As it turns out, the Camry Extremo is going to be offered permanently in the Japanese automaker’s local portfolio. Thanks to that, whoever owns the mid-size luxury sedan from Toyota will be able to give the car a sportier visual styling without having to rush for it. Well, the Camry Extremo from Toyota has actually been out for quite a while and though it comes with the Extremo moniker, the car is not totally extreme, after all. For instance, the car is only coming with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine.
Thankfully, however, Toyota has successfully managed to increase the power output of the vehicle by 20 bhp and its torque by 9 Nm. So, in total, the car is now capable of delivering 167 bhp of power and 199 Nm of torque. The car has its power and torque sent to its wheels by means of a newly developed 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The IndianAutosBlog reports that the Toyota Camry Extremo is going to slot under the Toyota Camry 2.5G, which is a bigger model. The Extremo variant is going to offer its owners with a triple zone climate control system, a wireless smartphone charging system, an adaptive cruise control, ventilated air seats and also a newly designed body kit that gives the car a pretty aggressive appearance.
