Four French and one Belgian were among those 10 people who were killed in a bus crash on Wednesday in Egypt.
The other five people killed were Egyptians.
Fourteen others, including eight French and six Belgians, were admitted to hospital with “broken bones, bruises, and superficial injuries” but their condition was stable according to the governor of the southern province of Aswan.
The accident took place in the early morning when the bus crashed with a car when it was transporting the tourists on the 300 kilometers road journey between Aswan and the famed Abu Simbel temple further south.
About 7,000 people died in road accidents in the country in 2020.
