TikTok star Gabriel Salazar died along with other three individuals after a car crash in Texas on Sunday.
It was around 1:20 a.m. when a Crystal City police officer pulled over the car Salazar, 19, which he was driving in Zavala County, about 100 miles outside of San Antonio.
It is not certain why the car was stopped.
He was in pursuit of the car, a white Chevrolet Camaro driving on Highway 83.
A deputy joined the pursuit and attempted to deploy a tire deflation device that was unsuccessful.
Chevrolet Camaro drove off the road, over-corrected, and traveled throughout the roadway, onto the west barrow ditch. The vehicle hit some trees, rolled several times, and the vehicle caught fire.
Salazar, from San Antonio, was pronounced dead at the scene. He had more than 2.2 million followers on the social media platform under the handle “gabenotbabe”.
Other three dead have been identified as Jose Luis Jimenez-Mora, 41, Jose Molina-Lara, 23, and Sergio Espinoza-Flores, 36, who were also pronounced dead at the scene. The three passengers were Mexican nationals.
Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
