At least five people died after a drunk driver struck a group of students at a bus stop in Bratislava, Slovakia on Sunday night.
Officials said the car crashed with several pedestrians “at high speed”.
Four people were pronounced dead at the scene. The fifth person, a 21-year-old girl, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
Five others were seriously injured, including two who are going through the critical condition.
The country’s interior minister Roman Mikulec has described the incident as a “tragedy”.
The 60-year-old driver was arrested. He is facing between seven to twelve years in prison on manslaughter charges.
The passenger of the car also had alcohol in their system.
