So, without further ado, behold the golden anniversary edition of the famous and legendary muscle car from Uncle Sam!

Judging by the image released by the Shelby American dealership, this special edition Cobra model will come with either a fiberglass or aluminum body. For the customers out there that prefer the fiberglass body panel, they will the exterior of their vehicle painted in the Guardsman Blue paint. This paint will also be combined with the Wimbledon White stripes. It is crucial to keep in mind that such stripes are among the typical characteristics of the car and they help set the snake apart from its competitors. Yet, as for the variant featuring the aluminum body panel, the exterior will be polished.

To indicate that this particular Cobra model is meant to celebrate its golden anniversary, there will appropriately be 50th anniversary badges available as well on the vehicle. In addition to these badges, the vehicle will also be treated with custom gauges, racing brakes, 15-inch wheels, vinyl seats and even a 50th anniversary car cover.

Shelby American claims that there will only be 50 examples of the 50th anniversary Shelby Cobra 427 ever made. The car will be valued at $119,995 and above. The price excludes the gearbox and the engine. According to Shelby American, it will start opening the order book for this special edition Shelby Cobra on January 13, 2014, exactly at 11:00 a.m. MST. Taking everything into account, it seems like fans of the snake will have to hurry or else they will never again get their hands on such a special edition Cobra 427.
