Seven Palestinians died and three others were injured in a crash between a truck and a minibus near the Petza’el Junction on Highway 90 in the Jordan Valley on Thursday.
Of the three admitted to the hospital, one of them succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
Traffic in both directions on Highway 90 between the Tomer and Yafit junctions was closed.
The Highway 505 between Petza’el and Petza’el Junction was closed as well.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced that a day of mourning to be held on Friday for the seven Palestinians who were killed in the crash.
Magen David Adom (MDA) and Israel Fire and Rescue Service teams helped in resolving the crash.
Helicopters also assisted in transferring the injured.
