Japanese car maker Lexus announced recently that they will put discounted sticker prices for the packages of F Sport Performance for owners who want to upgrade their ride.
The lower prices will cover the packages for the sport sedan and convertible coupe variants of the IS, and the GS 350 rear wheel drive sport sedan.
Lexus offers the suspension kit from F Sport which will allow Lexus owners to lower their cars by as much as an inch for both the front end and the rear end. This kit also includes a member brace for the chassis to help the car handle corners and to stiffen its chassis for a better performance when you feel like stepping on the pedal. The suspension kit is priced at $1,450 which actually saves you around $549.
The performance package for the rear wheel drive Lexus will consist of anti sway bar for the rear and front. The all wheel drive models will get an anti-sway bar for the tail end which helps decrease body lean and help in doing flatter cornering. The suggested price for the suspension kits, rims, plus the tires is pegged at $4,495. This will save buyers a big sum of $1,499.
Lexus offers Pilot Sport PS2 sports tires from Michelin for RWD variants of the IS 350C, 250C, 350, 250; and the GS 350. The all wheel drive IS 250 will get a set of 18-inch rims paired with Advan S.4 tires from Yokohama.
The F Sport package deal which will include the suspension kit, tires, rims, and upgrade to performance brake kit is tagged at $8,995. The total savings can be as much as $1,479. Buyers will also get F sport badges for their fenders.
The F Sport brake upgrade includes 6-piston calipers that are fixed and 14-inch cast iron cross drilled rotors using their internal fin configuration attached to aluminum anodized hats for the front. Ther rear will get 4-piston calipers and smaller cast iron rotors which are 13.6 inches in diameter.
The sale will kick off by June 1 through the end of July 2010.
