Two teenagers are dead and two others were taken to hospital after an early morning crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers, New York.
The one-car crash took place just before 1 a.m. Thursday in the southbound lanes.
Police say there were four individuals in the car. One, identified as 17-year-old Ali Alghaithi, of Manhattan, was found outside the vehicle and was declared dead at the scene.
Three others were taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, where 17-year-old Abdlwahab (Abdul) Abushaar later died due to his injuries.
The 18-year-old driver and a 15-year-old passenger is currently in hospital.
It’s unclear where these individuals were coming from, as they had visited friends in different locations, at one point making a stop in Queens.
Two of the teens worked together at a cell phone store located in Upper Manhattan, of them close friends since childhood, bound by their Yemeni heritage.
Investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
