Two killed and two injured after vehicle crash in Severn, Maryland

Two people were killed and two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Severn, Maryland on Sunday afternoon.

Western District officers responded to the crash in Telegraph Road in the area of Buckingham Place in Severn by around 1:54 PM.

A Honda S2000 was traveling south on Telegraph Road in the area of Buckingham Place. A Chevrolet Suburban was traveling north on Telegraph Road. Soon, the driver of the Honda lost control. The Honda was hit by the Chevrolet. The crash caused a fire in the Chevrolet which engulfed the whole vehicle.

Donald Joe Callahan, the driver of the Chevrolet was admitted by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department to Johns Hopkins Bayview Burn Center in Baltimore. He had serious injuries. The passenger, Lisa Annette Callahan of the Chevrolet was admitted by the fire department to the University of Maryland, R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. She also had serious injuries.

Occupants of the Honda car identified as David Blaine Wolcott and Heather Lyn Wolocott were declared dead on the scene by the fire department. The bodies were admitted to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore for an autopsy.

The crash is currently being investigated.
