Three people were killed and five people were injured following a two-vehicle crash that closed part of Loop 202 South Mountain and 40th Street in Arizona on Saturday night.
Two vehicles were discovered at the scene with one person needing extraction.
A total of five people were admitted to the hospital with serious injuries.
Impairment is suspected in this crash, by the officials with the Department of Public Safety.
Eastbound lanes were closed following the crash but were later reopened.
