Four killed after car crash in Laurens County, South Carolina

Four people were killed on Tuesday after a head-on car crash in Laurens County, South Carolina.

The crash took place at about 9:40 a.m. Tuesday on Scuffletown Road and Highway 418, involving two vehicles.

Canupp said two people occupied each vehicle.

Three people were pronounced dead at the scene.

The fourth died after being airlifted to the hospital.

The dead include the driver and passenger of the first car and two people inside the second car.

The first car hit the second car when it was driving west on Highway 418 and it crossed left over the centerline. The second car was driving east.

South Carolina Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
