‘The Autobiography Black represents the very best Range Rover has to offer and is a fitting tribute to a vehicle which has consistently set the highest standards for all-terrain performance, luxury and design for the last 40 years.’ Phil Popham, the Managing Director of Land Rover had this to say about the Autobiography Black.
It is a reincarnation of sorts to the Range Rover and as a vehicle the Autobiography Black 40th Anniversary Limited Edition has the final say in this genre of vehicles.
A unique front grille that has a Titan grille mesh and a bright chrome grille “U” edge with black grille for surround garlands the car. Alloy wheels of 20 inch bedeck the car and the body has a Barolo Black finish. A new mesh set off by bright chrome bars makes the side vents and there is a black vent surround. Door handles have the same body color and there is that monogram at the tailgate “Autobiography Black”.
There are two color options for the interior, Jet and Ivory combination or Jet and Pimento combination. There is also the option of just Jet colourway. The door veneers are Grand Black and the Autobiography Black Logo is embossed prominently at all proper possible places. Then we the words “Range Rover” in illuminated form at the front door sill tread plates. The steering wheel is a half wood Grand Black while the petrol models have the gearknob veneers.
There is the exclusive limited Edition offer of the Autobiography Black 40th Anniversary Edition. Only 700 of this model would be made and would showcase the uniqueness of it. The interior and exterior of these unique units would be of striking color to match the taste of its exclusive clients. That’s from Design director Gerry McGovern.
In its 40 years this is the most unique car and no stone has been left unturned in making this the most special Range Rover. To mark its identity even the key fob and the driver’s handbook has the Autobiography logo etched upon it.
