Well known tuner PPI Speed Design GmbH has recently released a new aftermarket program based on the Audi R8 V10 Spyder.
The tuner has given top priority to the ten-cylinder engine by remapping the ECU and installing a new exhaust system which have resulted in the increase in output to 621 hp (463 kW) at 7,400 rpm and 565 Nm (417 lb-ft) of torque at 6,400 rpm. As a result of these changes and with the revised output, the R8 V10 Spyder will be able to accelerate to 62 mph (100 kmph) in just 3.2 seconds and will be able to hit a top speed of 208 mph (335 kmph).
PPI Speed Design has also developed a wind tunnel-tested widebody kit with some of the parts made from carbon fiber. The tuner’s well-known and trademark PPI Spyder doors have also been aerodynamically tested and are made from aluminum-reinforced carbon fiber. In fact the same material was used for the mirrors which have built-in LED indicator lights.
In terms of interior, the cabin receives features such as heated and ventilated carbon fiber seats, a racing sports wheel, trunk-mounted umbrella holders, painted center tunnel and door arm rests, and many of the interior parts have also received a carbon fiber finish.
