During a nighttime presentation by the Volkswagen Group (VW), Audi managed to unveil for the first time ever the Audi TT Sport back concept car. At a glance, the car may look like the usual Audi TT models. However, it sports a new front grille design as well as a new front bumper. Honeycomb mesh inserts are now visible on the front grille. High-beam laser headlamps also come standard on this new model. Yet, unlike the normal Audi TT models, this one comes with four instead of two doors. In addition to that, the rear end of the car also looks pretty nice, thanks to its integrated tailgate as well as its bespoke design. There are also dual exhaust pipes and 21” alloy wheels available on the car.
Although this is not the usual TT, the Audi TT Sportback is still pretty compact. It has a dimension of 4.47 meters (length), 1.89 meters (width) and 1.38 meters (height). This means that the concept is even shorter and lower than the new Audi TT Coupe by 29 cm in length, 6 cm in width and 3 cm in height.
The interior of the car welcomes driver and passengers alike with fine leather upholstery, black accents and also dark aluminum trim. The rear seats, by the way, are separated only by a small console in the center.
Needless to say, though, all those fine details on both the exterior and the interior of the car will be useless if it lacks power. Thankfully, the 2.0L TFSI engine Audi has equipped into its new TT Sportback concept car has no problem of bursting 400 PS of power and 450 Nm of torque. For its drive train, the car counts on an all-wheel-drive (AWD) Quattro engine mated to a 7-speed S-tronic transmission. This allows the car to reach the speed of 100 km/h in only 3.9 seconds from a stall. The car emits only 162 g of CO2 per km and it only consumes 7 liters of fuel per 100 km.
