Bertone is an important Italian design firm that was founded 100 years ago. The Nuccio Concept is Bertone’s way of celebrating their birthday. The company was founded by Giovanni Bertone, but became mainstream thanks to his son, Giuseppe, nicknamed Nuccio.
Some of Bertone’s most important works are the designs for the Lamborghini Countach, Lancia Stratos, Maserati Quattroporte, or the new Alfa Romeo GT.
The new Nuccio combines elements used by Italian car designs over the years with a futuristic style. The design was made by Mike Robinson, and immediately catches the eye thanks to the black and orange contrast. The headlights come in the shape of a single line, as do the rear lights. The exhausts are enormous. The wheels appear to be 18-inchers, but that’s something Bertone will have to confirm.
At the moment it is highly unlikely that this car will go into production (as a whole, at least). Single elements may be used by future Italian supercars, but that’s something we’ll find out in time. The Bertone Nuccio Concept will be presented at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show that starts in March, and that’s when we will know more about the future development of this vehicle.
