Buick Shows Off the Avenir (Video)

The Buick Avenir is actually destined for this year’s upcoming North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) that is going to take place in Detroit, US. It is only a matter of days now for the event to begin yet the aforementioned automaker has decided to officially remove the wrap of its Avenir model. The vehicle will reportedly end up as the company’s flagship sedan model.

On the exterior, the car looks quite stunning, thanks to its considerably curvaceous body, LED headlamps surrounding its dominant front grille, ventilated front fenders and also a rear end that looks like the tail of a boat. The look of the exterior is also further enhanced with a set of 21-inch bespoke alloy wheels.

The interior is not less attractive, either. High quality materials are available all around the cabin. These materials include bamboo wood trim, silk, leather upholstery, an IntelliLink vehicle infotainment system with 12-inch display panel, a wireless charging dock for smartphones, iconic air filtration system and also an ambient lighting system. Heck, the vehicle infotainment system even comes with a driver recognition feature. This enables the car to load the corresponding driver’s calendar schedule, favorite music playlists and even destinations that the driver has recently visited.

Each of the rear seats of the car also comes with a full size center console. In addition to that, a dual screen entertainment system is also available for the rear seat passengers to help them enjoy their journey without getting bored.

Technical details are scarce as of now. However, the Buick Avenir concept supposedly comes with the company’s next generation model of V6 engines. It is said to feature the direct injection technology, cylinder deactivation system and also an engine start/stop function. The vehicle is also known to utilize a dual clutch all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
