Considering the latest announcements about upcoming models such as the ATS compact sedan, the ELR Coupe with extended-range electric vehicle technology and possibly, a production model inspired by the well-received Ciel study, we can say that General Motors luxury brand Cadillac is enjoying a renaissance these past few years. Still it’s a long way to the new wave of Cadillacs hitting the streets, so the luxury car maker decided to release a very aggressive commerical in order to prepare the public and competition for what will follow.

The new TV spot titled “The Bellissimo – Magnetic Ride Control Technology” points its guns directly at Ferrari, so Cadillac would like to remind you that Caddy’s first. General Motors luxury brand claims that its CTS-V Coupe is so advanced that “Ferrari borrowed technology from Cadillac to develop its suspension system”.

As a reminder, the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe comes with a suspension configuration with adaptive dampers offers a more composed ride than the base-model CTS Coupe even as it delivers athletic response at high speed. It is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that produces a thundering 556 hp and 551 pound-feet of torque teamed with a six-speed manual transmission as standard while a six-speed automatic is available.

On the other hand, its opponent, the 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia comes with a suspension updated with an L-shaped lower control arm for the front wishbones and new links for the multilink independent rear suspension.

Anyway, this is a discussion without end, so you better watch the commercial and tell us what you think.
