As heat advisories appeared once again across the Mid-Atlantic and a heat wave was present in the East, individuals were reminded again of the fatal risks of kids and vehicles as two more heat-related child deaths were reported.

KidsAndCars stated late Monday that it had actually learned of two added children– one in Florida and another in Missouri– who had passed away after being discovered in hot cars this weekend.

That raised the overall statistics of kids who have actually died of heatstroke in an automobile up until now this year from 23. KidsAndCars said that a total of 25 kids had passed away in heat-related vehicle deaths during last year, 2015.

“We simply can not accept these deaths as tragedies and carry on,” the company said in a press release.

On Sunday, there will be National Heatstroke Awareness Day, as per the National Child Passenger Safety Board. The board provided a number of safety tips, consisting of never leaving a kid in a car; calling 911 if you see a child unattended in a car; and constantly locking your car and teaching your kids not to play in automobiles.
