A truck with 10 cup holders and having the capability to tow 32,500 pounds will be on the marketplace this fall.

In Denver, Ford Motor unveiled its 2017 F-series Super Duty trucks this week. Trucks are the fastest-growing market sector in this city, as per sales operations manager Mike Grammes. The Front Range’s truck market increased 10 percent over in 2015. The total market, which includes vehicles, trucks and SUVs, is down 1 percent, though it’s still going the eight-year high.

The Super Duty redesign is its very first from the times when series was launched for the 1999 model year. The Dearborn, Mich.-based company’s shares went 8.2 percent down Thursday to $12.71 each share after it reported second-quarter revenues that were below expectations. The relaunch is among the firm’s expensive concerns. Ford also is anticipating to take a $145 million hit to purchases in Britain due to the fact that of the U.K. voted to leave the European Union.

The company’s shares went $1.13 down, or 8.2 percent, to complete at $12.71 Thursday.

The Super Duty redesign began with the truck’s frame, which is 24 times stiffer than the former, product communications manager Mike Levine states. The aluminum alloy body is harder and as much as 350 pounds lighter than the outbound steel body.

Included technology consists of adaptive cruise control, which keeps a constant range in between you and the automobile in front of you. If traffic slows, the truck is going to slow with it. The trucks are likewise geared up with adaptive steering, 360-degree electronic camera systems, lane-keeping help and blind spot tracking.

Of course, the cup holders got an upgrade. The convertible cup holder space in the center console– the trademarked “dynamic beverage management” system– doubles the cup-holding capability to four.

About 17 million brand-new automobiles will be sold throughout the U.S. this year, Scott stated. Full-size pickups make up about 12 percent of that total. Of those 2 million pickups, about 800,000 — or 40 percent– will be carrying the Ford brand, Scott stated.

The F-250 pickup begins at $32,500. On the series’ greatest end is the F-450 Platinum, at $77,000. If you are willing to pay out the extra money, you can also get it with massaging seats.

I just got my new Ford F150 a month ago.
Sure the cup holders are great… but what about a kleenex box holder?
