The US President Donald Trump criticized General Motors on Friday, claiming that the American automaker said they are not going to provide as many ventilators upon which they had agreed earlier.

Trump wrote on his Twitter that: “As usual with “this” General Motors, things just never seem to work out. They said they were going to give us 40,000 much needed Ventilators, “very quickly”. Now they are saying it will only be 6000, in late April, and they want top dollar. Always a mess with Mary B. Invoke “P”.”

Earlier, Trump had said on Twitter that General Motors, Ford Motor, Tesla Inc have been given green light to produce ventilators which are much needed in the on-going coronavirus crisis.

About 86,548 people in the United States have been confirmed as being infected with the coronavirus. The virus has killed about 1,321 people in the country.
