Ferrari to Launch New F1 Car in January

by SpeedLux

It is out of the question that Ferrari is such a feared contender when it comes to the Formula One (F1) championship. As all teams are approaching the end of 2014 and the start of new F1 season next year, the Italian team will reportedly launch a new F1 car late in January 2015. This has been unveiled by the team’s new boss himself, Maurizio Arrivabene.

Arrivabene decided to unveil this to reporters some time earlier this week. According to this Ferrari’s F1 team’s boss, the new car will be codenamed the 666. The good news is that the 666 has successfully passed all the mandatory crash tests required by the FIA. The new boss at Ferrari has also made it clear that the car will go public on the official website of the company when January 2015 comes close to its end. However, as reported by the Omnicorse of Italy, there has yet to be an exact date for that.

According to Arrivabene, there is just one simple reason for this. He claims that the engineers at Ferrari have pointed out to him that three days will be needed at least for the team to get ready for an awesome and convincing presentation like what the company has always had for all these years. The man also points out that he prefers the crews at the Ferrari team to dedicate themselves more to the development of the vehicle that the team is going to count on in the upcoming F1 competition season.

The new F1 vehicle that Ferrari will be using starting from next year, the 666, will reportedly make its world debut at Jerez on February 1, 2015. That will be the moment the car undergoes its official winter testing for the very first time ever.
