Five dead after head on car crash near Millerton Lake in California

Five people are dead following a head-on car crash between Millerton Lake and Table Mountain Casino in California.

The officials were notified of the crash from homeowners in the area around 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Only two people have survived so far in the crash.

The crash took place when four adult men were traveling south in a Hyundai Accent when it crossed over the double-yellow line. A Honda Accord car was northbound lane with three adult men. The two cars hit head-on at full speed.

All four men in the Hyundai were pronounced dead at the scene.

A male passenger in the Honda was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Tow trucks had to pull the cars apart due to the impact of the crash.

California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
