Five people were killed after a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 10 near Tonopah in Arizona on Friday.
The crash took place in the eastbound lanes on I-10 near Salome Road at around 1:20 p.m, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The three-vehicle crash included an 18-wheel tractor-trailer and two other vehicles.
Five people died and some were injured in the crash.
The tractor-trailer rear-ended a sedan that engulfed. The force of the crash caused the car to split in half.
There were five people inside the sedan at the time of the crash, and they were pronounced dead on the scene.
The semi then continued eastbound before also striking an SUV that also had five people, a young mother, and her four children inside.
They were all taken to several Valley hospitals with serious injuries.
Driver of the semi-truck was not hurt.
