A vehicle crash took place on Friday afternoon by a “reckless” intoxicated teen driver because of which four people were killed, including two teens, on Beeline Highway, Florida.
The person identified as Christopher Garrett Jr., 17, was recklessly driving a 2019 Nissan Rogue northbound at about 4:09 p.m. on the highway when he ran a red light at PGA Boulevard. He struck into a 2010 Nissan XTerra whose driver identified as Elizabeth Anderson, was turning left onto the road.
The XTerra spun and rolled over, taking Anderson from the SUV onto the grass median.
Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger George Nienhouse died on the scene as well.
Garrett’s SUV skidded northwest into the southbound lanes, injuring his two female passengers, 17-year-old Alexia Simpson and 14-year-old Jay’Oni Leonard.
One of the girls was pronounced dead at the scene. Garrett and the other girl were admitted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where the girl later died at 4:20 p.m.
Officials suspect Garrett had been drinking alcohol or taking drugs which may have contributed to the crash.
