Four killed after car crash in Lake County

Three adults and one child were killed after a car crash on Wednesday morning in Lake County, Flordia.

The crash took place when a 2008 Dodge Durango was moving south on County Road 561, south of Florida Boys Ranch Road around midnight when the driver couldn’t negotiate a right-hand curve after which the SUV ran off the road and onto a grass shoulder before it struck head-on with a large tree.

Three adults and one child inside the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was a 24-year-old man from Orlando.

Two other passengers included a 48-year-old man, a 23-year-old woman from Orlando and a 5-year-old girl from Clermont.

Authorities said there is a roadblock on CR 561 at this moment from Lake Nellie Road to Florida Boys Ranch Road as the investigation by Florida Highway Patrol continues.
