GAC, a China-based automaker, may not be as famous or reputable as those other automakers from Japan, America or Europe. Yet, this does not necessarily mean that the Chinese company is not worthy of consideration at all. As a matter of fact, the company has just released a teaser image of its upcoming vehicle model, the GS4, ahead of the 2015 North International American Auto Show (NAIAS) event.
The Chinese automaker in question claims that this model will turn up as a sport utility vehicle (SUV) with high performance to offer. Unfortunately, the company is not willing to share details on specifications just yet. Nonetheless, reports are that the car will boast either a 1.3- or 1.5-liter engine equipped with turbocharger.
For its visual styling the GAC has treated the GS4 with two-tone exterior paint job. In addition to that, the car also looks masculine and aggressive, thanks to its swept back headlamps and its large front grille. Other visible exterior elements of the vehicle include a set of large alloy wheels, chrome accents and also plastic body cladding.
Wu Song, the general manager at the GAC Motor, China, also points out that when the car makes its debut in the upcoming NAIAS event in Detroit, US, this will set a milestone in the history of the Chinese automaker. He claims that with the GS4, the company has finally achieved international standards for automobiles. Wu Song even goes as far as to make a claim that its upcoming GS4 model is in fact a representative of those other automobile brands from China, especially those brands that actually have the capability of competing in the automotive markets scattered out there all over the globe.
Well, for now, it seems wiser to wait until the NAIAS event actually kicks off and see if the GS4 actually lives up to the claims made by its maker.
