As daylight broke, the people at this O’Reilly’s Auto Parts located at East 46th Street North and North Peoria Avenue had to clean up what broke after a vehicle plowed into their building.
Tulsa police named the man responsible as Samson Moore.
This damage was just one of a slew of his crimes today.
“He was an ex-boyfriend that had broken into his ex-girlfriend’s house, began to pistol-whip her with the butt of a shotgun,” stated Lt. Shane Tuell with the Tulsa Police Department.
Officers state Moore took the keys to her pick up truck and stole it. It wasn’t long before police spotted it but that soon resulted in a chase.
“We crossed the park and went along the trail,” stated Captain Jacob Johnston. “Speeds stayed pretty low because of the roadway he was on.”
At one point Police state that he was driving backward and ended up in O’Reilly’s parking lot striking into the building.
“He got out and ran,” stated Johnston.
Moore was then quickly taken into custody.
Officers on the scene said they discovered the loaded shotgun in the passenger seat of the stolen truck, together with a bulletproof vest that belonged to him.
“He’s going to look at charges from everything that associated his ex-girlfriend, to the pursuit involving officers, to the damage he caused the O’Reilly’s,” stated Tuell.
The manager states it will be thousands of dollars in damage.
Moore was booked on complaints including first-degree burglary, domestic AWDW, felony eluding AFCF, and resisting arrest.
