Man shot and killed while sitting in car in Covina restaurant parking lot

A guy was shot and killed while sitting inside a car with his buddy in Covina, on Saturday.

Authorities stated that around 11:51 a.m., officers reacted to a shooting in the 800 block of West San Bernardino Road. The victim was shot by an unidentified male suspect while he was sitting in his friend’s car in a restaurant parking area.

After the victim was shot, his buddy repelled from the scene and into the car park of Faith Community Church in West Covina, authorities said. There, local emergency workers responded to the scene but the victim was pronounced dead.

Since the shooting happened in Covina, the Covina Police Department’s homicide division will be handling the investigation.
