McLaren MP4-12C price starts at $229,000

The starting price of the McLaren MP4-12c has been fixed at $229,000 which though is exclusive of the destination price. Even the tax to be levied by the government as it is a gasoline consuming car also has not been fixed. As per the Managing director of McLaren Automotive Limited the car is an offer to the people to accept a good car, for he opines that other cars are just not good enough.

The advanced features that the 12C incorporates and that has been done by McLaren are the technologically advanced MonoCell carbon fiber chassis, highly efficient yet powerful 3.8-liter 592 horsepower powerplant, and a dry weight of less than 2900 lbs.

The price as per him has never been reached by any other vehicle that is carbon based in its making. The cars would be available thought the 35 McLaren dealers that are spread over the world of which 10 are in North America which are in Beverly Hills, Chicago, Dallas, Greenwich, San Francisco, Tampa Bay, Toronto, and Miami. Philadelphia and Newport Beach are new dealers coming up. Therefore have three of the dealers in California itself. The car would be available for sale in the late summer of 2011 as a 2012 model.
