Earlier this morning, a new vehicle model that the luxury German automaker, Mercedes-Benz, and its AMG division are working on, the GT3, was leaked again. As such, the German company has taken the liberty of officially introducing the car to the public. The GT3 has been designed as a racecar possessing a high performance that is more than enough to meet the FIA GT3 standards. As has been reported, the car is going to use the platform of the Mercedes-AMG GT.

The new Mercedes-AMG GT3 can be seen in the pictures sporting an aggressively designed body kit made of the lightweight carbon fiber material. This body kit consists of new doors, redesigned side skirts, ventilated front fenders and also restyled front and rear bumpers. Other components notable on the vehicle as well include a prominently designed rear wing, a rear diffuser, carbon fiber flics and also a ventilated engine hood.

As it turns out, the cabin of the vehicle has been stripped out as well so as to remove the weight of the vehicle, making it more ideal for use on a race track. Instead of the usual amenities found on a standard Mercedes-Benz vehicle, this GT3 from Mercedes-AMG is simply going to have a carbon fiber trim, a switchgear that has specifically been designed for a racecar, a new steering wheel, a steel roll cage, a digital instrument panel and a number of carbon fiber racing seats.

The German company is still playing coy when it comes to technical specifications of the vehicle. Nonetheless, the company has actually confirmed indeed that the Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be getting most of its power from an upgraded 6.3L V8 engine lying beneath its engine compartment. The engine is reportedly going to be paired with a sequential 6-speed racing gearbox.

According to reports, this German racecar will be available for orders pretty soon and that its very first shipment is to commence later this year.
