Mercedes-Benz Builds Its 50,000th Car in India

The year 2013 has been a wonderful business year for many companies, Mercedes being one of them.

Mercedes-Benz has had a wonderful sales figure in the year 2013 with which it rose to the second position in the segment of luxury cars. But the company had already chalked out its business plans for the year 2014. It is launching its latest S-Class in India in 2014. The German company has been doing business in India for about two decades. The company is now adding one more milestone to its business history in India by launching its 50,000th car in the India. The car will be manufactured in the Mercedes plant in Chakan.

Hold on! There’s more news about the company. There will be a fresh replacement for the C-Class W204 series. It will be the W205 which has been recently unveiled in the market. The mark the production of the 50,000th car and the replacement of the C-Class W204 series, Mercedes-Benz has launched the C-Class Grand Edition which comes with certain special features that set it apart from its regular model.

The C-Class Grand Edition will be available in two models – the C220 CDI and the C200. Both models come with an AMG body kit with the front fenders bearing Grand Edition badges. The wheels are of 17 inches made of light alloy. The cars will be having panoramic sunproof and the headlights will be bi-xenon. There is an integrated navigation set in the Comand System of the cars. In addition to these there are illuminated mirrors and a rear-view mirror equipped with an auto-dimming feature. The makers of the cars are sure about the attention these features will draw.
