Mercedes-Benz has recently released a teaser video of the S-Class Coupe which will be showcased at IAA in Frankfurt this week.
There were already some leaked design sketches that had surfaced on the web earlier which has now proved to be authentic. The company had earlier uploaded a video on its official YouTube account with the S-Class Coupe concept which confirms the CL-Class moniker but the now the same has been dropped. Although we did not get to see the car in full, but we can make out that the new concept it will look considerably different than its four-door siblings.
The 2+2 coupe will probably be offered with just about the same engines as regular S-Class models that include the V8 engine from the S63 AMG and V12 engine from the upcoming S65 AMG. It will also come with the same array of technologies and safety features, along with slightly revised interiors that would include sportier seats, a three-spoke steering wheel and updated trim.
There are chances that the production model of this concept will be showcased in January 2014 at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit after which it would be reaching the dealerships in March same year.
