MINI car fans may cheer up as the company has actually managed to bring forth the Superleggera Vision concept to the stage of the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Before the introduction at the Paris Motor Show, however, it turned out that MINI had first shown the car at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Of course, fans of the MINI cars have most likely understood that the body of the car is crafted by hands and so are the smooth lines that come with it.
As always, MINI always knows how to make its car look attractive, if not exciting. The car comes wrapped in a Como Blue paint. What makes the car even more interesting is that its side sills are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). In addition to that, the car also features a carbon fiber front splitter and a unique rear fin.
However, the car is not really an option for those who want to bring their family members along on a vacation. The MINI Superleggera Vision Concept can only accommodate two people. Nonetheless, the cabin is adorable, thanks to the fact that the dashboard is covered in aluminum and the interior is entirely decorated with premium leather upholstery.
According to MINI, the Superleggera Vision Concept runs on an electric motor. Unfortunately, the company does not seem interested in revealing the true nature of the car’s power. In addition to that, there is no guarantee that people can buy this car even if they have the money required. Thing is, Peter Schwarzenbauer, a BMW Board Member, unveiled to Reuters about a month ago that BMW had not yet come to a decision to sell the car, at least not in another six months. Yet, should the car go into mass production, BMW will offer it for approximately 35,000 Euros.
