Nissan has recently announced that the development of the GT-R Nismo is on track and the car will reach dealerships in 2014.

The Japanese marque has confirmed what one of the representatives of Nissan had revealed that the GT-R Nismo is scheduled for a 2014 release. The company has revealed that the car’s development is going as planned and so there should be no delay in its launch. However the company did not reveal any technical specifications so far, but a recent report indicates that the 3.8-liter V6 twin-turbo engine will generate an output of more than 570 hp (425 kW).

The work on the car is being performed in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering and is expected to be significant lighter thanks to more extensive use of carbon fiber. In addition, the engineers will also make some changes in the supercar’s aerodynamics, and all these changes combined could allow the GT-R Nismo to achieve the 0-60 mph (0-96 kmph) sprint in a just 2.0 seconds.

In addition, the company has claimed that the model should be able to complete the lap of Nürburgring in under 7 minutes and 18 seconds which should be a cool achievement if everything goes as planned.
